What this page is for

Read it, compare, and decide however you prefer

This page is informational. It gives you market prices, the criteria for assessing a clinic and the questions to ask before you travel. You are welcome to just use it: you are under no obligation to have your assessment done by us, or to leave us any details at all.

If you do want our help, here is how it works, plainly. With some partner clinics we have arrangements that let us obtain reserved discounts for people who come from this page, and those clinics pay us. That is why the service costs you nothing. If that interests you, fill in the form. If it does not, keep the information: it is yours either way.

The starting point

Why two quotes for the same work can differ by double

In almost every case it is not that one clinic is more expensive: it is that the quotes contain different things. Here are the four variables that really move the price.

01

What is included

"Full arch on 4 implants at €1,530" almost always means implants only. Crowns and the final prosthesis are separate items: the real total can be more than double.

02

Implant brand

A Straumann or Nobel Biocare implant does not cost the same as an implant with no declared brand. If the quote does not name the manufacturer, you do not know what you are buying.

03

Laboratory

An in-house or external laboratory changes timing, cost and the chance of adjusting a prosthesis while you are still in Albania.

04

Add-on services

Transfers, accommodation, first flight, English-speaking support: some clinics include them, others invoice them separately or do not offer them at all.

Price list

Dental treatment prices in Albania: 2026 market ranges

Indicative values observed on the Albanian market. They are not an offer: only the clinic can issue a final quote, after a clinical assessment.

Treatment What it covers Albania Western Europe Saving

The misunderstanding that costs patients the most

The figures above are single items: an implant is only the implant, a crown is only a crown. The quote you receive adds up dozens of these items. That is why many patients travel expecting to spend €1,500 and find a far higher real quote. It is not necessarily a scam: often it is simply a badly written quote. But it is up to you to clarify it before you travel.

Always ask that the quote separates implant, abutment, temporary and final prosthesis, and that it states the brand and model of every component.

Finished work

What a full-mouth rehabilitation really costs

All-on-4 and All-on-6 are not price-list items: they are a package of implants, components, temporary and final prosthesis. The figures below refer to the full mouth, both arches, finished work. The lower figure is the realistic minimum threshold observed in Albania, not a promotional offer.

All-on-4 · full mouth 5.980 – 9.800 € Both arches. 8 implants in total, components, temporary and final prosthesis. The range depends on the implant brand and the material of the final prosthesis.
All-on-6 · full mouth 7.980 – 12.800 € Both arches. 12 implants in total, components, temporary and final prosthesis. Indicated when bone volume allows a more distributed anchorage.
  • Conscious sedationfrom €450
  • Anaesthetist attendance100 €
If you are offered less, ask what has been removed. Below these thresholds a complete job with recognised-brand implants and a final prosthesis is not realistically sustainable: either the implant brand changes, or the prosthesis material changes, or some items are invoiced after you arrive. A much lower price presented as "Straumann" or "Nobel Biocare" is precisely the case where the origin of the components cannot be verified. In every case, insist on the implant passport with brand, model and batch number, plus the original labels attached to your file: they are the only way to verify that what is implanted in you is genuine.

Dental clinics in Albania with public reviews

These are some of the clinics in Tirana, not all of them, and appearing in this list does not mean they are the best. They are clinics with a verifiable presence and reviews you can check at source. We publish only publicly available information: for each clinic we list the data it makes public, and we do not add anything we cannot document. Dozens of other clinics operate in Albania, many of them serious: absence from this page is not a negative judgement.

This is not a ranking. Sorriso Sicuro is the clinic we work with and are paid by: we state this openly, and it is why it appears first. The others follow in alphabetical order and have no commercial relationship with us: the order between them implies no judgement of quality. The data shown is what each clinic makes public on its own website or on the companies register. Missing rows are not a judgement: they are simply information the clinic does not publish. Items marked "decl." are the clinic's own declarations, not our verification. On commercial relationships: with some clinics we have an agreement that lets us reserve a discount code for you; the other cards are purely informational, carry no contact details and earn us nothing. This site is run by Amina Care SH.P.K.: the person running it also works with Sorriso Sicuro, and we state it so you can weigh it.

Why go through us

One quote on its own tells you nothing. Two side by side do.

Every clinic writes its quote with its own items, its own wording and its own silences: read on its own, it always looks reasonable. We put it next to the others on the same grid and ask in writing for what is missing — implant brand and lot number, warranty, what happens if an implant fails, which items are not included. Before you pay a deposit, not after.

01What you cannot get aloneShare capital, NIPT, implant brand, written warranty. Clinics give this to whoever knows how to ask and keeps asking.
02Quotes side by sideSame treatment, same grid. If one clinic is a thousand euros cheaper, you end up seeing exactly where the difference comes from.
03The real cost, not the price listGrafts, extractions, sedation, a second trip. The items that appear later are the ones that blow up the quote.

One last thing. With some clinics we have an agreement and, where it exists, we can reserve you a discount code on their price list. You will not find it marked on the cards above: it depends on where your case lands, and we tell you after the comparison, together with the quotes.

Send your case, get the comparison →

The comparison is free and commits you to nothing. The discount, where it exists, is agreed with the individual clinic and varies by treatment: it is stated in the quote, not on this page. The fee we receive is paid by the clinic and does not increase the price you pay.

🔒

A real comparison is not made by reading a list

What a clinic does not publish, we track down for your specific case. Tell us which clinic you are considering and what treatment you have been offered: we apply the eight criteria and send the comparison back in readable form.

Materials

Which implants are used, and why you need to know

The implant stays in your mouth for decades. The brand determines whether components will be available in future: if in eight years a screw needs replacing and no dentist at home recognises the system, the problem becomes yours.

DIO Implant In depth

DIO Implant is a South Korean manufacturer founded in 2004, specialising in guided digital implantology: the DIO navi system plans placement on a 3D CT scan and uses a custom-made surgical guide instead of freehand placement. That is why it is chosen by clinics working with a fully digital workflow, such as those with an intraoral scanner and an in-house CAD/CAM laboratory.

No implant brand is "the best" in absolute terms: the choice depends on bone volume, site and prosthetic plan, and it is the clinician's call. What you must insist on is that the brand is declared in writing and recorded on the implant passport.

List of brands declared by the clinic reviewed here. Always ask for the implant passport: it is the document recording brand, model and batch of every implant placed. If the clinic does not issue one, that is a signal.

Implant planning on a 3D CT scan

Planning on a 3D CT scan

A two-dimensional panoramic X-ray is not enough to plan implants. Ask whether the diagnosis is based on three-dimensional imaging.

Zirconia crowns

Ceramic or zirconia

Different materials, different prices, different lifespans. The quote must specify which of the two, not just "crown".

How to recognise genuine reviews

Fake reviews in dental tourism are common and often well made. Tick the checks you have already carried out on the clinic you are considering.

Warning signs

The most common traps in dental tourism

Not all of them are fraud in the criminal sense. Some are simply commercial practices that shift the risk onto you. For your wallet the result is the same.

Warning-sign detector

Open each item and tick "this happened to me" where it applies. The risk level updates in real time.

No signals detected — situation is clean
01The bait quote

You are given a price covering only part of the work — typically the implants alone — presented as if it were the total cost of the rehabilitation. On arrival the total doubles because crowns and the final prosthesis were excluded.

Defence: ask for a written quote with two columns, "included" and "excluded", before booking the flight.
02The deposit before the examination

You are asked for a substantial payment on the basis of an X-ray sent by email, before any clinical assessment on site. A small booking deposit is normal; a deposit on the treatment, without having seen the patient, is not.

Defence: check that the deposit is deducted from the total and that it is written down what happens if the plan changes after the examination.
03The implant brand that does not exist

The quote speaks vaguely of "high-quality titanium implants" without naming the manufacturer. If a spare component is needed in a few years, nobody will be able to identify it.

Defence: insist on the brand name in the quote and on the implant passport at discharge.
04The warranty promised verbally

"Ten-year warranty" said over the phone is not a warranty. You need a document stating what it covers, what it excludes, how it is activated, within what time and who pays for the return trip if corrective work is needed.

Defence: ask for the warranty text by email before confirming. If it does not arrive, you already have your answer.
05Results that belong to somebody else

Before/after galleries downloaded from international stock libraries or from colleagues. It is easy to check: a reverse image search often shows the same photo on dozens of sites in different countries.

Defence: ask to speak to a patient from your own country who has already been treated, or look for video testimonials with a real face and voice.
06The treatment compressed into three days

Implant rehabilitations have biological timescales that cannot be compressed. An immediate temporary is normal and documented; the final prosthesis in a few days, on a complex case, is not.

Defence: have it explained in writing how many appointments and how many trips your plan involves, with indicative dates.
07The costs that appear on arrival

Bone graft, sinus lift, extractions, sedation: items that can legitimately emerge after the CT scan, but that a serious clinic flags to you as possible, with their cost, already in the initial quote.

Defence: ask for the list of possible additional items and their price, even if they are not certain.
08The company with no assets

If the warranty lasts ten years, there must be a solid company to honour it. A clinic registered with token share capital offers very fragile protection years down the line.

Defence: in Albania this data is public. Look up the clinic's NIPT on the QKB register and read its share capital and year of incorporation.
09The final quote from a photograph

You are told that a photo of your mouth sent on WhatsApp is enough for a 100% final quote. That is not possible. Without a medical history — age, conditions, current medication, smoking, diabetes, bisphosphonate therapy — and without a panoramic X-ray or CT scan nobody can know how many implants are needed, whether a graft is required or whether you can be operated on at all. A clinic that promises a final quote from a photo is either lying, or will change it when you arrive.

Defence: if they ask you nothing about your health, that is not a quote but a commercial hook. A final quote is issued after the clinical assessment on site.
10Implants and a "final" fixed prosthesis in the same appointment

Some clinics — few, but they exist — promise implants and a final prosthesis fixed prosthesis in the same appointment. What they fit on the day is made of acrylic resin: it is a temporary, not the final prosthesis, even when it is presented to you as the final result. Final crowns on implants are fitted once osseointegration has occurred: indicatively 3 to 7–8 months after surgery, across two separate appointments (impression and fitting). Anyone telling you otherwise is selling you a temporary at the price of a final prosthesis.

Defence: have the quote state the material of what you receive at the first appointment and the indicative date of the final prosthesis, with the second trip already planned.

Price is why you travel. It cannot be the only criterion for choosing.

It is legitimate to come to Albania to save money: the cost difference is real and documented. But you are not shopping at a market here, you are buying healthcare, and the work will stay in your mouth for years. Choosing a clinic only because it costs less is the fastest way to pay twice.

The order in which to assess is this: documented quality (brands, materials, technology), verifiable testimonials with a real face and voice, documents (written quote, written warranty, implant passport), the clinic's track record e capitale sociale. Price comes last, and at that point you are really choosing.

Solidity

Share capital: the figure nobody looks at, and the one that matters most

Share capital is the measure by which a company answers for its obligations. In plain terms: it is what is left to back you if, six years from now, you need to enforce a warranty on an implant.

In Albania an SH.P.K. can be incorporated with a token minimum capital. Many clinics targeting foreign patients have share capital of a few hundred euros. That is not illegal — but it means the promise of a "ten-year warranty" has no assets behind it.

It is public and free to check. You look it up on the Albanian national business register using the clinic's NIPT. If the clinic will not give you its NIPT, you can draw your own conclusion.

How to check it in 2 minutes

For reference: the clinic reviewed on this page declares share capital of 700.000 €, verifiable under NIPT L62217032L.

Payment

Would you like to spread the cost?

A full rehabilitation is a significant investment even in Albania. Medical finance and personal loan options exist in most European countries, and some patients spread the cost across the two stages of treatment.

Terms depend on the lender and on the applicant, and on where you live: we do not publish rates or instalments because they would inevitably be wrong for your case. Tell us the indicative amount and the term you have in mind and we will tell you whether an option is workable.

FAQ

The questions we are asked most often

How much does a dental implant cost in Albania?

The market range is indicatively €300 to €650 for the implant alone, without abutment and without crown. The variation depends on the implant brand, the clinical case and the clinic. The crown is always a separate item.

Why do clinic prices differ so much?

Because the quotes do not contain the same items. One quote may include the implant alone and another the implant, abutment and crown: the apparent difference disappears once you compare the same elements. Implant brand, type of laboratory and add-on services also matter.

Is dental tourism in Albania safe?

Standards vary widely. There are clinics with modern equipment and qualified staff, and clinics working to lower standards. Safety depends on the choice of clinic and on the preliminary clinical assessment, not on the country.

How do I recognise genuine reviews?

Check that the profiles have a history, that reviews are not concentrated into a few days, that they describe concrete detail and that the clinic also answers negative ones. Testimonials published only on the clinic's own website cannot be verified.

Why does share capital matter?

It is the measure of assets with which a company answers for its obligations. A clinic with token capital offers fragile financial protection if a warranty has to be enforced years later. In Albania the figure is public on the QKB register.

Can I finance the treatment?

Medical finance and personal loans exist in most European countries, and some clinics allow payment to be split across the two treatment stages. Terms depend on the lender and must be checked case by case.

Can I claim tax relief or reimbursement for treatment abroad?

It depends entirely on your country of residence and on your insurance. Keep the full invoice and pay by traceable means, then check your position with your own tax adviser or insurer.

Who decides which treatment I need?

Diagnosis and treatment decisions rest exclusively with the clinician and the clinic. This site provides orientation only and does not deliver healthcare or clinical opinions.

How many days do I need to stay in Albania?

The first stage usually takes 3–5 days. Implant rehabilitations normally involve a second trip after osseointegration, some months later. Have it confirmed in writing how many trips your plan involves.

How does the comparison work and what does it cost?

You fill in the form, the enquiry is analysed and you receive the points to verify on the clinics you are considering. The service is free for the patient and is paid for by partner clinics.
